# Emission

**Orangery Emission Strategy**

**Fixed Supply and Halving Dynamics:** Orangery introduces a finite supply cap of 100,000,000,000 tokens, embracing a unique halving mechanism tailored to the network's activity levels. This adaptive emission schedule is designed to modulate the creation of new tokens based on task completion rates within the network. As miners engage more actively and complete tasks, the issuance rate of new tokens diminishes, ensuring a balanced and sustainable token distribution over time.

**Gradual Distribution:** The emission schedule is carefully calibrated to ensure a gradual distribution of Orangery tokens. Approximately half of the total supply is expected to be released within the first year, with about 75% distributed by the end of the second year. This pattern continues, aiming for nearly complete distribution, around 99%, by the seventh year. This phased approach to token release is pivotal, providing a fair and equitable distribution among network participants while maintaining the network's long-term security and operational integrity independent of task reward incentives.
